What we did
Caoimhín Kelleher (b. 23 November 1998, Cork) is a 26‑year‑old Irish goalkeeper who recently completed a record-breaking move from Liverpool to Brentford, signing a five‑year contract in June 2025 for a fee reported up to £18 million.
After ten years in Liverpool’s system, Kelleher emerged from the backup role to Alisson, earning 67 senior appearances and securing 24 clean sheets.
His career includes a clutch penalty save against Kylian Mbappé in a Champions League fixture, a two-game streak of penalty saves, a first for a Liverpool keeper in over a century. Kelleher was also a crucial part of the 2024 EFL Cup-winning team, keeping a clean sheet at Wembley.
Internationally, Kelleher has earned 22 caps for the Republic of Ireland, establishing himself as a reliable presence between the posts. He steps into Brentford as their long-term No. 1, replacing Mark Flekken, and is expected to bring top-end Premier League experience and shot-stopping excellence to the side.
In KPI’s view, Kelleher brings elite athleticism, high-pressure composure, and a winning mentality, assets that align with our high-performance standards. His move to Brentford marks the start of an exciting new chapter as he cements himself in England’s top flight.
At KPI, we’re proud to say that Caoimhin was our first EVER KPI athlete upon establishment of the company. Our key highlights include supporting him through several successful spells at Liverpool FC when stepping up in both Premier League and domestic cup matches, and tournament successes!
