What we did

Sepp van den Berg (b. 20 December 2001, Zwolle, Netherlands) is a 23‑year‑old centre‑back/right‑back at Brentford, following a £25 million transfer from Liverpool in August 2024. After loan spells across Europe, including Preston, Schalke, and Mainz, he has solidified his place in Brentford’s defence, starting 31 Premier League games in 2024–25 and helping the side to six clean sheets.

Defensively disciplined, he averages 1.33 tackles, 0.79 interceptions, and 4.4 clearances per 90 minutes, metrics in the top percentile for Premier League defenders. Strong in the air and calm in possession, he has earned praise from Brentford’s coaching staff and remains thoughtful of a possible return to Liverpool and earning senior national team honours, demonstrating ambition that mirrors KPI’s ethos.
